ChangeLabs and the Commonwealth Bank Foundation introduced the StartSmart Primary program in January 2010. Building on the success of the Secondary program, StartSmart Primary responds to evidence that financial education is most effective when taught from an early age onwards.
In 2011, StartSmart will reach over 220,000 students in over 5000 classrooms.
StartSmart equips students with their first practical understanding in financial management. It teaches them what money is, what banking is, the importance of saving and the difference between needs and wants. Our world-class facilitators make the StartSmart learning experience accessible, interactive and engaging in every classroom they visit.
